Qualitative vs. Quantitative

Based on the best evidence available sometimes we are able to say that a risky behavior or some other answer to a question raises your risk of a disease or other cause of death.

The traditional numeric part of this appraisal includes this information when we can ask you a question and provide a quantitative estimate of how much your risk is increased.

The explanatory part of this stack often provides additional information which relates to qualitative risk factors for which we don't have suitable questions or don't have numeric estimates.

This results in some seeming inconsistencies and the need for this explanation.
